             - Titik schuffner jelas,

            - 1/3 sel darah merah

        

Stadium Skizon matang

Parasit : - Jumlah inti 12 – 24

              - Pigmen kuningtengguli berkumpul

              - Eri membesar

              - Titik schuffner msh tampak di  bagian pinggir

              - Stadium skizon muda

Stadium Skizon muda

Parasit :  - Inti membelah jml 4 – 6(8)

                - Eri membesar

                - Titik schuffner jelas

Stadium Mikrogametosit

Parasit :     - Inti besar ,tidak padat, pucat,tersebar

                

                  - Sitoplasma biru kemerahan, pucat

                  - Eri membesar

                  - Titik schuffner msh tampak di pinggir

Stadium Makrogamet

Parasit: - Inti kecil ,padat, merah, jarang tersebar

            - Sitoplasma biru

            - Eritrosit membesar

Plasmodium falciparum

Stadium Tropozoit muda bentuk cincin

Parasit: - Eri tidak membesar

             - Titik Murrer

             - Cincin agak besar

             - Sitoplasma lebih kecil dan ada yang tebal

Ciri-ciri :  - Eri tdk membesar

                 - Titik murrer

                 - Gambaran uniform

Stadium skizon matang(jarang ditemukan dalam darah tepi)

Parasit:  - Eritrosit tidak membesar

               - Biasanya tidak mengisi sel eritrosit (2/3 eri)

              - Jumlah inti 8-24 buah

              - Pigmen menggumpal warna hitam

Stadium  mikrogametosit

Parasit :    - Eri tdk membesar

                 - Bentuk sosis

                 - Plasma pucat, merah muda

                 - Inti tdk padat

                - Pigmen tersebar

Stadium makrogamet

Parasit :  - Bentuk pisang agak lonjong

               - Plasma biru Inti padat dan kecil

                - Pigmen disekitar inti

                - Eritrosit tidak membesar

Trophozoites  

Smears from patients: The infected erythrocytes are not enlarged (sometime they even appear smaller than non-infected ones). form  is a "band form" trophozoite.

Schizonts  Smears from patients:

The parasites are compact and the infected erythrocytes are not enlarged. the merozoites are arranged in a rosette pattern.

Plasmodium ovale

Tropozoit

Smears from patients: Note the lack of ameboidicity in the older trophozoites (B,C) and the fimbriation of the erythrocyte in C. The erythrocytes in P. ovale infections are less enlarged than with P. vivax, and are not as deformed. The Schüffner's dots are visible

Schizonts

Plasmodium ovale: Schizonts Smears from patients: A, B: man who returned the previous month from a visit to Kenya and Malawi. Infection with P. ovale, confirmed by PCR  

Note the fimbriation of the erythrocyte in A.
